Amnesty International was created to seek amnesty for political prisoners who renounce violence (thus never sought the release of Nelson Mandela who refused to do so). It is now involved in a wide range of human rights related activities, thus an excellent source of information about human rights issues worldwide and can provide assistance to people involved in non-violent political activity in support of human rights.
Antifa is a leftist anti-fascist movement comprised of autonomous groups which also oppose racism, the roots of which can be traced back to pre-war Germany in response to the rise of Nazism. The first such group being Antifaschistische Aktion that was founded in Weimar Germany in 1932 shortly before the Nazis came to power on January 30, 1933. In the US such groups also oppose white supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program was created to promote civilian marksmanship to ensure that a substantial percentage of the US population was skilled in the use of rifles should they be required to serve in their nation's armed forces at short notice. The CMP has a wide range of material that can be used to assist people who wish to become skilled sharpshooters or set up their own shooting match.
Human Rights Watch was created to expose human rights abuses. HRW is an excellent source of information about a wide range of human rights related issues worldwide, as is Amnesty International, the United Nations and UN Associations. Although HRW does not get involved in direct political action as do far larger groups like Amnesty International, it is nonetheless a valuable resource.
The ITUC is the global voice of the world's working people. Its primary mission is the promotion and defense of workers' rights and interests, through international cooperation between trade unions, global campaigning and advocacy within the major global institutions. Union members who need support from other unions are advised to contact the ITUC. Union members consistently have better wages and conditions than non-unionists.
An international industrial union (members are known as "Wobblies"). It is committed to the concept of "one big union" (thus members of other unions can join the IWW), equality, and civil disobedience when necessary to protect the rights of members. Employees are advised to join a union as it is in their best interests to do so. Union members consistently have better wages and conditions than non-unionists.
The NRA is a leading defender of the right of competent adults of good character to own guns for non-occupational use, notably as a deterrent to crime and tyranny. It has information about gun sports, gun safety (Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program) and gun defense (Refuse To Be A Victim Program). Gun owners are advised to join the NRA (or an equivalent organization if they live outside the US) if they want to protect their right to own guns for said purposes.
Pink Pistols is a gay gun rights organization founded in the United States. Inspired by a Salon.com article written by Jonathan Rauch, Krikket (aka Doug Krick), a libertarian activist from Illinois living in Massachusetts, founded Pink Pistols in July 2000. Chapters are principally populated by gun-owning LGBT+ individuals, though neither status is mandatory for membership. Pink Pistols' activities include firing range visits and political activism.
The SRA's mission is to uphold the right of the working class to keep and bear arms and maintain the skills necessary for self and community defense. This includes being well versed in the field of disaster relief. It seeks to provide an alternative to the toxic right-wing gun culture that has dominated the firearms community for decades, and provide a left-leaning platform to talk about gun rights and defense free from reactionary prejudices.
